  1. i was trying to locate some information about your Saturday brunch. i wanted to know if you offer brunch on Saturdays as well as the hours.

  2. Hi. In case you haven’t seen it yet, the current/February issue of smithsonian mag has an article about Down House. A good read that helps me understand the philosophy driving the upbeat environment that you have created.
We love the energy, the people, the decor, the food and the libations at Down House.

  3. The number listed at left – 713-864-2696 – apparently belongs to a “Hospice Care” business. Please provide correct telephone number. But the reason I was calling in the first place was to see if you accept reservations? And if so, please let me know how I go about making them.

    Thank you.

    • Hi Beth, Our phone number is 713-864-3696!

You can find out about reservations here: http://downhousehouston.wordpress.com/the-lab/

We only take reservation for 8-14 people. We do have a $50 charge for reservations that are a no-show, canceled before 24 hours of reservation, or arrive 30 minutes late. If you have a party of more than 14, please e-mail us at events@downhousehouston.com.

We sincerely apologize, but we don’t take reservations during Saturday & Sunday brunch (9a-3p), or evenings of Friday, Saturday, & Sunday (5p-12a). Reservations are on a first come, first serve basis.

  4. My boyfriend and I are regulars at Downhouse and can’t get enough of your coffee- literally! Do you sell your espresso beans? If not- can you? Please!!

    Sincerely,
    Your most loyal customers.

    • We do! Come on by. You can either as your server or walk up to the bar and ask the bartender. I’d suggest coming on a weekday as weekends get pretty packed if you do it with the bartender. Let me know if you got this!

  5. Hello! Your menu sounds incredible and I’d love to try it all, but my husband is gluten intolerant. Do you have any gluten free options for any of your entrees?

    • HI Randi!

We do some have options that are gluten-free, but we do warn you about cross-contamination. Also, we do use the same fryer that gluten is fried in, so I believe that means anything fried is not an option.

When you come, ask your server and they should find you a delicious gluten-free meal!
